How to Make Mead From Earl Grey Tea.
Earl Grey Tea is a blended tea that is flavored with oil of Bergamot. Typically it is made with black teas, such as Chinese keemun, and as such, not intended to be served with Milk. Other teas can be included in the mix depending on the manufacturer’s blend. Lapsang Souchong lends a smoky character. Green teas and oolong are also often blended in. The history of Earl Grey tea is rather shady, as bergamot oil was added to mask low-quality tea and raise the price. This is no longer the case, due to the popularity of the tea thanks in part to Patrick Stewart’s character Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation.
