Peach has always been my nemesis. Mead, Wine, Cider… nope. Nothing I ever made with peach came out as a brew I would want to drink. Thing is… I LOVE peaches! I eat them almost every day! But… can we ferment a mead made from peaches? We’re not talking about extracts or juice here… REAL, FRESH PEACHES in a MEAD! Whew… ok, I feel better now. Sorry for yelling. Most areas have Peach season as summertime. It is always best to get your fruit at the height of season so you have the best quality to start off with. For most areas in the USA that would be May through late September. There are about 33 states that grow peaches, so check your area for peak ripeness.
